About Interview with Daniel Monzón, director of Cell 211

Cineuropa met with Spanish director Daniel Monzón, whose feature Cell 211 was screened within the Venice Days during the 2009 International Film Festival of Venice. With a solid cast, that the director spent eight months bringing together, the film, based on a novel, is the story of a novice prison official who starts his new job on the same day that the prisoners organize a mutiny.
